Gluon™

High-Performance Veneering

A versatile water-bound polymer emulsion, GluOn is applied as a surface veneer or soil stabiliser. The polymer bonds with water, creating a surface mesh and binding with the soil and dust particles of the ore. The bonding chain that's created remains constantly stable and flexible, fixing the soil into place. GluOn Water Erosion Control Applications establish a tight-rolled surface that helps to create a low permeability skin. This works to prevent water erosion and airborne dust. Gluon™ Veneering is ideally suited to civil subdivisions.

Why use Gluon™?

  • It is independently verified to deliver outstanding performance for veneering (ask us for report details).
  • Achieves zero dust lift-off at 20 metres/second in wind tunnel testing.
  • Rainstorm warranty GluOn™ applications.
  • We supply dye marking options, batching guides, site procedures, OR on-site application services by our experienced team.
  • Product development to suit client/project requirements – choose long-term veneering control (6 to 12 months) or short-term low-cost veneering (30 to 60 days – extremely valuable for ore stockpiles requiring wind protection before shipment).
  • Easy to apply for large or small projects – we batch Gluon™ to suit your project size and type.

Dye Marking

Gluon™ dries to a clear coat, detectable by touch, but can also be combined with dye markers for visual referencing. With dye added, Gluon™ can be used as a tool to colour code and manage dust control in open areas such as green for long term storage and blue for short term. Natural soil colour will influence the dye colour chosen. Green is most common for lighter coloured soils, but brown, blue and black are also options. The need for re-application can then be monitored visually by observing the colour tone over time.

Bind-DC 19

Biological Surface Solidification

As a bio-cementation product, Bind-DC 19 offers soil stabilisation and effective dust control across the mine site, including LV and primary haul roads. The unique bacterial solution solidifies sandy surfaces by forming calcite cement, bonding sand particles as fine as <10μm into a solid surface within 6-48 hours from application. No bitumen products are used.

Bind-DC 19 is delivered in liquid form via a water cart and is completely non-hazardous, making it safe to handle and transport.

Bind-DC 19 is an excellent dust suppression solution, suitable for LV and haul roads, open areas, and tailing dam facilities. It can be applied on slopes, sidewalls, fly ash dumps, berms, road barriers, and waste rock dumps for effective dust control.

Hydromulch

Hydromulching is an extremely effective and economical method of binding sand and soil surfaces to prevent erosion and dust emissions while at the same time providing an ideal environment for seed germination and growth. Colour coding with dye is an option to assist treatment area coding and paper materials last 6 to 12 months depending on conditions.

Principally applied to large, sandy tracks of land such as those opened up by property and land developers, government departments, civil contractors and mining companies, Hydromulch is applied to suppress windblown dust, prevent wind erosion, improve appearances, and accelerate re-vegetation, rehabilitation and erosion control.
