PDX ore conditioner

PDX™ is designed specifically to improve flow and handling for wet and sticky ores by reducing moisture content, and for dry ores to reduce dust and improve flow. PDX is added to water and mix-blended for ore moisture conditioning. PDX reduces the moisture levels to lower the DEM (Dust Extinction Moisture). When added to wet ores, PDX migrates through the moisture in the ore, breaks up the ore and improves flow performance.
During the mechanical action of dumping and transfer points PDX improves flow.

PDX Projects include Iron Ore Conditioning for Rio Tinto’s wet and sticky ores, and PDX DEM on dry Mara Mamba Iron Ore. PDX was used by Atlas Iron for a 2 year DEM reduction treatment for dry ore conditioning and for PDX dust management through the Port Hedland Port Facility, delivering substantial dust reduction at materials handling points.

Rainstorm High Performance Dry Fog Systems are built inhouse with custom design add ons with specialist lines, nozzles and components fit for purpose and site conditions. Rainstorm provide dust control for shipping, manufacturing and mine processing facilities. For controlling ship loading dust issues Rainstorm dry fog systems reduce dust to improve safety, and reduce ore loss in transfer, improving delivery.

Adelaide Port Project & SA Environmental Protection Authority

Rainstorm led dry fog system uptake in Australia with the design and implementation of ship Dry Fog Systems to solve dust issues, such as the Adelaide Port Project for an iron ore exporter. The South Australian Environmental Protection Authority (SA EPA) backed the system idea and once the Fog System was installed and commissioned, the SA EPA enabled the loading of iron ore in close proximity to areas sensitive to dust due to the high performance dust control from Rainstorm Dry Fog Systems.

Rainstorm have designed and installed Dry Fog Systems for copper concentrates in Darwin Port Northern Territory, minerals exported via Geraldton WA, Coal Facilities in Queensland and major mining projects in South and Western Australia, including the design and installation of multiple Dry Fog Systems for Rio Tinto Pilbara Iron Operations for crushing and screen house circuits.

Gluon™ Water Erosion Control is a water resistant surface veneer formula & treatment method to control soil erosion. It is ideal for mining, civil and infrastructure projects with areas that relate to fixed site infrastructure or semi-permanent site areas where issues with water run-off/ water erosion affect large civil enbankments, drill pads, blast bunds and areas that require stabilising for site area rehabilitation and permanent operations.

Gluon™ Veneering: Wheatstone Project

Rainstorm applied Gluon™ Water Erosion Control for the Wheatstone Oil and Gas Project in the Pilbara Western Australia to Borrow Pits. Rainstorm also delivered Gluon applications to open areas to hold dust and trap moisture for site rehabilitation and embankment water erosion control. Soft sand areas were covered using the Rainstorm specialist CASE application truck photographed.
